Plot outline:
The story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy because of
his mother’s habitual drug habit, meets Leigh Anne by chance. A
tough woman with a soft heart extends a helping hand to Michael as
she cannot bear to see him living on the streets. With Leigh Ann’s
nurturing and her family’s caring, Michael becomes a famous all
American football player and first round NFL draft pick. The pressure
and opposition that she faced originally when adopting Michael.
However, love enabled her to accept everything. From that point on,
the two begin to play irreplaceable roles in each other’s lives.
Interpretation / Reflection: The Blind Side is a movie based upon a true story, starring Hollywood star Sandra Bullock. Not only were the box office sales amazing for this film it won Bullock the special distinction Gold Globe Awards. I especially like the ending. When Leigh Anne said to Michael “If you get any girls pregnant. I’m goingto come up here and cut off your pennies you got that?” then she walked away, and he came up to her and gave her a hug…. This film make me touched. Also, it wins two main awards in the Oscar Best Actress and Best Picture.
